THE CAUSAL CHAKRA

It is located about 10 cm behind the Crown Chakra and aligns energetically with the Alta Major (*) and the spinal column.

Few things can be said about this center that are not active, except in the high initiates and adepts of wisdom. In advanced beings, the brain has become a perfect transmitter or receiver of life energy. For this purpose, the brain uses the carotid gland governed by the high psychic center, thus establishing a very close relationship with the heart and the coronary center. The carotid, pituitary and pineal glands condition everything, particularly the cervical substance. This triangle is entirely united in the adept. On the contrary, the thyroid gland replaces the carotid gland in the disciple, which affects, above all, the development of the intellect and, therefore, of mental matter. However, when the brain is used as a transmitter of life energy, it is the carotid gland ruled by alta-major, to which it pertains, and when it becomes a receiver of mental energy it is the Ajna center that becomes the agent. Eastern tradition indicates that when a man has become an adept, having unified his personality and soul, only at this point is it possible for him to act upon the energy to awaken the kundalini fire that sleeps deep within the sacred vertebrae. In this way, the energy projected downward must pass through the alta-major, descend along the spinal cord, and unite with the two currents in expectation. The unified reelevation of these three forces will then determine the opening and activity of all the centers, thus: the central channel united to the coronary center, and the two other channels united, one to Ajna, the other to the alta-major.

While the High Major has to do with distant memory, the Causal Chakra, when activated, is ready to guide our present life when we are on a path of spiritual exploration. At such moments, it acts as a beneficial filter to "color" our intentions toward the greater good of all humanity.

From this, it is possible to understand that if we are stuck in ego, this chakra will not work.

The Causal Chakra allows us to consciously reprogram our life through silent inner peace. It resonates with the crystals of cyanite, moonstone and celestite, and the color aqua green.

It is located behind the head. Besides contacting the body, it messes with our unity work. This means that we feel the oneness of the Cosmos with the matter that comes to us through this chakra.
